at — dəqiq vaxt və bəzi ifadələr (at 5 o'clock, at night, at the weekend). on — günlər və tarixlər (on Monday, on 5 May). in — ay, il, fəsil, günün hissələri (in July, in 2020, in the morning).

in — içində (in the box, in Baku), on — səthində (on the table, on the wall), at — nöqtə/məkan (at the bus stop, at school).

Hərəkət: to (istiqamət), into (içəri), out of (çölə), across (o tərəfə), through (içindən keçərək).

Bəzi feil və sifətlər müəyyən sözönü ilə işlənir: depend on, listen to, look for, interested in, good at, afraid of, proud of, different from.
